The compatibility with the environment of a packaging that is up to date
The internal flexible pocket is made up of high-quality polyolefins (LDPE, EVA, HDPE, EVOH) for the standard and barrier versions, while from material produced from renewable sources for the “Green” version.
It has no connection elements with the external corrugated cardboard casing, thus allowing easy separation and correct disposal in the paper and in the unsorted waste at the end of use.
The flexible pocket is not coloured, has no toxic additives, facilitating recycling and can be completely emptied without allowing air to come into contact with the contained product, collapsing on itself during emptying and thus preventing air from entering.
The corrugated outer carton offers the stability required for a full pocket and is over 80% recycled. It guarantees absolute protection against light, also protects the respective closures and reports all the information necessary for identification, as well as, possibly, the personalisation of the company.
Minimum space requirement for storage
Thanks to the separate storage of the empty components, the space requirement is extremely low: the internal pockets are folded and stacked in the shipping carton; the boxes are supplied flat, reducing transport costs. Once filled, the cubic shape of the Politainer guarantees optimal use of the available space and ease of positioning on the pallets.
The Politainer is ideal for the packaging of chemical, pharmaceutical and food products. In the chemical industry, maximum safety and high cost-effectiveness of liquid packaging represent an indispensable standard. The polyolefins that make up the pocket allow the packaging of a wide range of products, even those classified as dangerous liquids of ADR group II and III.
Oxygen-sensitive products are protected as the barrier pocket, with EVOH, prevents migration through the walls and does not come into contact with the air even during emptying, as the pocket collapses on itself.
The Politainer is produced with a technology that prevents contact with air during extrusion and is therefore free of germs or dust particles, this feature makes it suitable for use in the packaging of pharmaceutical and cosmetic products.
In the food sector, the high purity of the inner casing and the neutrality of flavour, as well as the absolute protection against light, make it indispensable for many liquids.
Simple filling and safe emptying
The filling takes place through the filler of the internal casing and can be filled manually, semi-automatically and automatically. With normal filling, the inner pocket remains folded and automatically expands with the filling mass. After filling, the residual air bubble is eliminated with a slight pressure of the walls and then the closure is carried out with a screw cap. After lightly pressing the nozzle downwards, the box can be closed. Now the politainer is ready, stackable and safe for transport.
The emptying takes place through the same nozzle to which it is possible to adapt accessories for the type of emptying desired (keys, taps, pourers, adapters for the dosing pump and closures).
